Bland food? Never again!
Everyone who cooks knows the problem: Vegetables boiled in water lose their vitamins and minerals. Even if the consistency can be precisely determined by specific cooking times, the aroma is often bland. The water washes out the food which then has to be spiced up. But spices are no substitute for the true taste of vegetables, fish and meat. Steam cooking presents an alternative to cooking in water. In steam cooking, hot steam surrounds the food on all sides, preserving water-soluble ingredients such as vitamins and minerals. Moreover, the food retains its natural colour.
Cooking the easy way!
Miele steam ovens guarantee both healthy and tasty food. But that’s not all: During the cooking process other foods can be slipped into the steam oven at any time – on up to three levels at the same time! This also applies to very different dishes, because no transfer of flavours or odours takes place when cooking in steam. While the fish cooks slowly and gently, the carrots acquire the desired consistency and retain their natural aroma. And there’s no chance of things boiling over or getting burnt when steam cooking. An electronic control monitors the process fully automatically. Once the cooking time has been set, the oven takes care of the rest. Cooking times match those of more conventional methods such as the usual pot on the hob.
What’s special is that neither the freestanding nor the built-in Miele steam ovens require a permanent plumbing connection for water coming in and going out. Simply add water to the removable water tank and that’s it.
Stylish design
Miele steam ovens can do a whole lot more: thawing, for example, a lot faster than room temperature is capable of. What more could one ask … The smooth surfaces of the spacious cooking unit are made of high quality stainless steel and thus easy to clean. There’s also a special programme that at the press of a button automatically descales the parts that come into contact with water.
