Sweet and sour sauce

1 portion
100 g brown sugar
1 tbsp honey
300 ml water
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1–2 garlic cloves
1–2 chillies (chopped into rings)
1 1/2 tbsp cornflour
100 ml rice wine (mirin)
1 portion: 560 kJ / 134 kcal, protein /, fat /, carbohydrate 33g
preparation
1.) Simmer the brown sugar and the honey in the water, with the rice vinegar, fish sauce, soy sauce, the garlic cloves and chillies for 5–10 minutes.
2.) Mix the cornflour and the rice wine with a whisk and use to thicken sauce. Serve hot or cold.
